INK Dance will be working in partnership with Sheffield Wednesday this September to deliver a brand new BTEC course in Performing Arts Dance.
Students will be working with professionals from the industry throughout the two-year programme and alongside their studies, they will also take part in theatre visits, guest workshops and Q&A's from guest speakers.
"Our team of choreographers come from a variety of dance backgrounds and hold valuable industry knowledge. We're excited we can bring this to the students to help them excel through their training and education with SWFC" said INK founder Suzy Dyson.
"It's an incredible opportunity for dancers in the city to now have access to a course like this that brings them versatility and relevant dance training to the industry today"
The modules for the course include Classical Ballet, Jazz Dance, Contemporary Dance and Street Dance amongst several others.
CSR manager Spencer Taylor said: “The Sheffield Wednesday Community Programme prides itself on delivering a variety of courses and we’re delighted to add Performing Arts to our ever-growing roster."
“We’re really looking forward to starting our Performing Arts BTEC programme.”
